“Make a joyful noise to the Lord”
Psalm 98:4 The gospel groove band was formed in November, 2009 with a group of youth musicians and young in heart musicians to add a different texture of music to our worship experience. The 10 piece band provides a unique blend of rock and R&B rhythm, brass, and vocals, to praise God through song.
Music is spiritual and transcends generations. The gospel groove band provides an opportunity for youth musicians to jam with adults and create a bond of music and faith. GGB music is about Christ, faith, and hope. The gospel groove band plays contemporary Christian music, familiar hymns that have been re-arranged with a rock or funk groove, and cover songs as well. Performances include Contemporary Christian songs by bands such as Big Daddy Weave, Jars of Clay, Kutless, and Third Day. GGB music also includes rock classics by Stevie Wonder, Carole King, and Van Morrison, and their own original pieces. The gospel groove band played their first outreach concert at the Sunday Cabaret at Community Missions of Niagara Falls in September, 2012. The GGB is available for Outreach Concerts.
